Our Privacy-First Approach

We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. All your dream journal entries, practice logs, and personal information remain stored locally on your device only.

We do not collect, store, or have access to:

• Your personal information (name, email, phone number, address)
• Your dream journal entries or personal notes
• Your usage patterns or in-app behavior
• Your device information or identifiers (except as handled by third-party services below)
• Location data
• Photos, media, or other files
• Contacts or social connections
• Any other personal data

Third-Party Services

1. RevenueCat (Subscription Management)

Purpose: Managing in-app subscriptions and purchases.

Data Collected by RevenueCat:

• Transaction information (purchase history, subscription status)
• Device identifiers (for subscription validation)
• App user ID (anonymous identifier we generate)

Data Usage: RevenueCat processes this data solely to manage your subscription status and enable premium features. RevenueCat acts as our payment processor and subscription manager.

Your Control: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account settings.

2. DeepSeek AI (Optional AI Analysis)

Purpose: Providing optional AI-powered dream analysis and insights.

Important: AI analysis is completely optional. You must explicitly choose to use this feature.

Data Sent to DeepSeek (Only When You Choose to Use AI Features):

• The specific dream journal entry text you choose to analyze
• Anonymous request identifiers

Data NOT Sent:

• Your identity or any personally identifiable information
• Any other personal data

How It Works:

• When you tap "Analyze Dream" or similar AI features, only that specific content is sent to our secure proxy server
• Our proxy server forwards the request to DeepSeek's AI API
• The AI analysis is returned to your device

Data Retention by DeepSeek: DeepSeek processes AI requests according to their own privacy policy and data retention practices. We do not control how DeepSeek handles data. Please review their privacy policy for details on their data retention and processing practices.

Your Control: You can choose never to use AI features, and your data will never be sent to DeepSeek.

3. Apple App Store / Google Play Store

When you make purchases, Apple (for iOS) or Google (for Android) processes your payment and shares subscription status with RevenueCat. We never see your payment information.

Local Data Storage

All your personal content (dreams, journal entries, practices, settings) is stored exclusively on your device using:

• SQLite database (local to your device)
• Expo SecureStore (encrypted local storage)

This data:

• Never leaves your device (except when you explicitly use AI features)
• Is not backed up to our servers
• Is not accessible to us
• Remains under your complete control

Data Security

Since we don't collect your personal data, there's no central database that could be compromised. Your data's security depends on:

• Your device's security (passcode, biometric lock)
• Your device's operating system security
• Local encryption for sensitive settings

Children's Privacy

Our App does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. Since we don't collect personal data from any users, we do not collect data from children. If you're under 13, please use this App with parental guidance.

Your Rights and Choices

Right to Access

Your data is on your device. You can view it anytime within the App.

Right to Delete

You can delete your data anytime by:

• Deleting individual entries within the App
• Clearing all data in the App settings
• Uninstalling the App (removes all local data)

Right to Opt-Out of AI Features

You can choose never to use AI analysis features. Your dream content will remain entirely local.

Right to Cancel Subscription

You can cancel your subscription through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account settings at any time.

Data Retention

• Local Data: Retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App
• Subscription Data (RevenueCat): Retained according to RevenueCat's policies and legal requirements
• AI Processing (DeepSeek): When you use AI features, data is processed by DeepSeek according to their own data retention policies. Please refer to DeepSeek's privacy policy for information about their data retention practices

International Data Transfers

• Local Data: Never leaves your device (except optional AI requests)
• Subscription Data: May be processed by RevenueCat in their service regions
• AI Requests: When you use AI features, data may be processed by DeepSeek in their service regions

We rely on third-party providers' data protection measures and compliance with applicable data protection laws.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. We will notify you of significant changes by:

• Posting the new Privacy Policy in the App
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Showing an in-app notification (for material changes)

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents: Since we don't collect, sell, or share personal information, CCPA disclosure and opt-out rights regarding data sales do not apply. However, you have the rights described in "Your Rights and Choices" above.
